5 Months on T: Update
Jan. 21 2024
Month 5 update + happy new year! I fully forgot about 4 months until 2 weeks too late so I just skipped it. Oops. Also ignore the fact that it is in fact 3 weeks into January. Also oops.
Mental Changes
- Dysphoria has been very up and down. I had a short period of worse chest dysphoria right after moving back to school and being around non-family again, but it's pretty much gone back to normal levels. That being said, not working for the past couple weeks has reduced the amount of like. acute dysphoria events I've experienced, which has been good, even though baseline dysphoria is about the same. I have been experiencing more bottom dysphoria the past couple months, mainly because I started thinking about how, even if I get bottom surgery one day, I'll never have a cis guy's dick, which sucks majorly if I ruminate on it too much. Having to use more public bathrooms due to being in class all day has also not helped the bottom dysphoria issue, but compared to other dysphoria it's relatively minor. Overall day-to-day dysphoria I would rate at like a 4/10.
- T rageā¢ is pretty much gone. It only really lasted about 2 weeks if I recall correctly? Anyway it was a pretty short-term thing.
- I've noticed I'm not craving protein to the same extent I was a couple months ago. I still get super hungry not long after a meal if I don't have a good amount of protein, so I am definitely still eating more of it than I was pre-T, but cravings have been less.
Voice Changes
- Voice is noticeably deeper! Especially compared to 3 months, but in the past month mainly I've actually noticed my voice feeling different in my throat/chest, which has been incredible. It's still not near as deep as I'd like it to get, and I still don't pass, but I've started to feel it lower than before (i.e. not fully in my chest, but more in my throat than in my head, if that makes sense?).
- The voice cracks have begun. They're not super bad yet, but they're definitely there -_-
Physical Changes
- Facial hair! Still only in the cheek area, but they are getting a little thicker and darker to the point that I can see them in a mirror without getting super close. No real changes aside from the cheek and neck areas, though. Waiting patiently for my teenage boy rat stache.
- As far as other body hair goes, eyebrows are definitely thicker, as is leg and stomach hair. Hair is slowly spreading to the back of the calves and tops of thighs that previously had nothing, which has been fun. Arm hair is also slightly thicker.
- I have noticed some changes seem to be happening more slowly than for other guys online, so I hope that next time I get my levels checked, I'll be able to increase my dose, but we'll see.
That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll be posting again in the next few days in the form of a more typical blog post (lots of update on since going back to school!), and I would like to keep working on building the site some more going forward since I've been more focused on moving and classes and such lately.
